September, so soon?

July has sped by, and the days are growing noticeably shorter. Matt and I are finding less hours of daylight to work with, especially on busy harvest days. Our tomatoes started coming off in droves, as are the peppers and eggplants. It feels like fall, as we have been harvesting butternut and acorn squashes as well as pumpkins!
Between harvesting, weeding, and all the other jobs to do, we have been doing some fall planting. Spinach and peas are in the ground, as well as a new batch of kale.
